Zusammenfassung:	A carrier for food to be cooked (51) comprises a holding carrier (52) for holding food to be cooked, on each of two opposite sides of which a handle (53) projecting upward is disposed, the two handles (53) being able to be pivoted inward. A treatment system for food to be cooked (20, 51) comprises a treatment trough for food to be cooked (20), the open top of which is a loading opening (20a), and at least one carrier for food to be cooked (51), which can be inserted into the treatment trough for food to be cooked (20) through the loading opening (20a), wherein, when the carrier for food to be cooked (51) is inserted, the protrusions (57) on the handles (53) are pivoted toward the holding carrier (52) by the treatment trough for food to be cooked (20) and/or by protrusions on a handle (53) of an adjacently inserted carrier for food to be cooked (51). The invention is advantageously applicable in particular to carriers for food to be cooked which are provided for use in a steaming trough of a steam treatment drawer.
