Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a device for supplying a machine tool with electric energy. The device has a load resistor for receiving electric energy, wherein the electric energy is the electric energy in particular which is produced or released when a machine tool or the tool thereof is braked. Furthermore, the brake energy being released from the load resistor can be converted into heat. Another aspect of the invention relates to a system which comprises the aforementioned device and a machine tool, wherein a load resistor of the device is designed to receive electric energy released during a braking process of the machine tool. Furthermore, the released brake energy can be converted into heat by the load resistor. Other aspects of the invention relate to the use of a resistor for receiving such electric energy released during a braking process of a machine tool or for converting the brake energy into thermal energy and to an operating method for a system comprising the aforementioned energy supply device and a machine tool.
