Zusammenfassung:A monitoring unit (1) for supporting a medical workflow for examining a patient, the monitoring unit (1) comprising: a base body (2), in particular a housing, wherein the base body (2) comprises multiple attachment slots (4) for modular attachment of sensor units to the base body (2), multiple sensor units, wherein the sensor units are each attached to one of the attachment slots (4), wherein one of the sensor units is configured to collect patient related data, wherein one of the sensor units is configured to collect environmental data, a computing unit (3), wherein the computing unit (3) is configured to process the patient related data and the environmental data, wherein the computing unit (3) is configured to create output data based on the patient related data and/or the environmental data, wherein the computing unit (3) is configured to initiate the output of the output data via an output means (5), which is connected to the computing unit (3), wherein the output means (5) is configured to receive the output data from the computing unit (3) and output the output data.
