Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a process for the reduction of the content of (removal of) residual monomeric isocyanate in a polyurethane prepolymer containing said residual monomeric isocyanate comprising the step of contacting the polyurethane prepolymer with a porous material having pores formed by a framework containing isocyanate reactive functional groups under conditions allowing chemical reaction of the reactive functional groups with the residual monomeric isocyanate in at least a fraction of the pores in order to covalently bind the reacted isocyanate, wherein the porous material is a porous metal-organic framework material comprising at least one metal ion and at least one at least bidentate organic compound, which is coordinately bound to said metal ion. The invention also relates to a prepolymer composition comprising said porous material and the use of said porous material for removal residual monomeric isocyanate in the prepolymer. |
