Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for operating a motor vehicle (12). According to the method, an operating device (10) is used to receive a first user input (22), said first user input characterizing the selection of an ambient mode (24) to be set of a plurality of specified ambient modes (24), each of which defines a group of vehicle components of the motor vehicle (12) that are to be set together and provide a respective comfort function, and a second user input (26), said second user input defining the selected intensity to be set of the selected ambient mode (24), wherein the selected intensity specifies respective values to be set for the group of vehicle components, and the values specified by the selected intensity are set in the vehicle components of the motor vehicle (12) specified by the selected ambient mode (24).
