Zusammenfassung:A method of measuring refractive index of a liquid substance under test with a time-domain spectroscopy measurement system based on a propagation of radiation pulse through a container (140), wherein the radiation pulse is terahertz radiation pulse, and before main measurement step the substance under test is diluted with a known solvent of absorption lower than the absorption of the substance under test, to obtain a solution having absorption low enough to obtain a measureable transmitted terahertz radiation pulse then mixing rule is applied to determine the refractive index of the liquid substance under test.
