A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SCREENING A USER'S TEMPERATURE
A method for screening a user's temperature involving: 1) detecting a user's face in a first image (100, Fig 1b) using a first camera operating within a first portion of the Electromagnetic (EM) spectrum; 2) aligning the detected user's face to a second face image (110, Fig 1c) detect...

Zusammenfassung: | A method for screening a user's temperature involving: 1) detecting a user's face in a first image (100, Fig 1b) using a first camera operating within a first portion of the Electromagnetic (EM) spectrum; 2) aligning the detected user's face to a second face image (110, Fig 1c) detected using a second camera operating within a second, different portion of the EM spectrum; 3) determining 207, 307 the user's temperature based on the second image (110, Fig 1c) aligned to the first image (100, Fig 1b); and 4) determining 209 if the user's temperature exceeds a predetermined threshold. Aligning the images may involve rotational information from the first camera. A face location algorithm may be employed. The forehead may be aligned. A remote user may be notified of elevated temperatures by electronic device. The user may not be allowed to proceed (e.g. to board a plane) if an elevated temperature is detected. The two parts of the spectrum may be the visible and thermal spectrums respectively. User's temperature may be stored in a database. Another aspect is a system for carrying out the method featuring first and second cameras, an aligner, and a determiner. |
