Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a poultry feed containing a composition that contains: at least one first bacterial strain selected from the bacterial phylum Firmicutes; at least one second bacterial strain selected from the bacterial phylum Bacteroidetes; and at least one further bacterial strain selected from the bacterial phylum Actinobacteria. The composition contained in the poultry feed, or the poultry feed, can be administered orally (e.g. fed) to newly hatched poultry chicks. In the process, the intestines of the chicks are colonised by the bacterial strains and the concentration of IgA antibodies in the blood of the chicks increases significantly. This results in accelerated maturing of the immune system of the chicks (specifically: significantly increased IgA values in the intestines and blood of the chicks), which improves the general condition of the chicks. |
