An electronic device according to one embodiment comprises: a sensor unit comprising one or more sensors; a display module comprising a touch sensor; and at least one processor for controlling the electronic device, wherein the processor may: detect a touch input through the touch sensor; when a touch input is detected, determine whether the touch input is valid on the basis of state information generated through the one or more sensors; when it is determined that the touch input is valid, determine a target level of responsiveness for the touch input from among a plurality of levels on the basis of at least one of the state information and application information about an application being executed by the electronic device; and control the electronic device on the basis of the target level.
