Zusammenfassung:	A stainless steel material for solid oxide fuel cells, the stainless steel material containing: on a mass basis, 0.030% or less of C; 1.00% or less of Si; 1.00% or less of Mn; 0.050% or less of P; 0.0030% or less of S; 13.0% or more and less than 22.0% of Cr; 1.50% or less of Mo; 0.030% or less of N; 0.30% or less of Al; 0.40% or less of Nb; 0.40% or less of Ti; 1.00% or less of Ni; and 1.00% or less of Cu, a high purity index represented by the following equation (1) being less than 1.50%, and the balance being Fe and impurities: highpurityindex=10C+N+15S+8P+2Ti+Nb wherein each of the symbols of the elements represents a content of each of the elements.
