RANDOM ACCESS PROCEDURE LOGGING AND REPORTING FOR WIRELESS NETWORKS

A method may include classifying, by a user equipment, random access procedures of the user equipment into either a first category of random access procedures that are initiated with a 2-step random access attempt, or a second category of random access procedures that are initiated with a 4-step random access attempt; receiving, by the user equipment from a network node, a random access report configuration indicating at least a quantity limitation for logging random access information in a random access report for random access procedures of at least one of the first category of random access procedures or the second category of random access procedures; and logging, by the user equipment, random access information in the random access report for one or more random access procedures of at least one of the first category or the second category, in accordance with the random access report configuration.
