APPARATUS WITH FORWARD/REVERSE PLUG INTERFACE, AND DETECTION METHOD

An apparatus with a forward-reverse insertion interface and a detection method are provided, and relate to the field of communication technologies, to improve transmission efficiency of an auxiliary channel. The forward-reverse insertion interface of the apparatus includes: a first auxiliary channel (CH1), including a first switch selection circuit (SW1) coupled to a first node (A); a second auxiliary channel (CH2), including a second switch selection circuit (SW2) coupled to a second node (B), where the second switch selection circuit (SW2) and the first switch selection circuit (SW1) are structurally asymmetrical; and a control circuit (CTRL), configured to control switching of the first switch selection circuit (SW1) to change an electrical parameter of the first node (A), and control switching of the second switch selection circuit (SW2) to change an electrical parameter of the second node (B), where switching states of the first switch selection circuit (SW1) and the second switch selection circuit (SW2) are consistent.
