Zusammenfassung:	A wiping unit which can sufficiently maintain function over long period of time, and a can body manufacturing device provided with said wiping unit are provided. The wiping unit, for use in a reciprocating ram, is provided with a subunit that comprises: an annular wipe member, in which a lip part is formed for pressing the outer peripheral surface of the ram; and an elastic ring which is arranged on the outer periphery of the wipe member and which is for pressing the lip part on the outer peripheral surface of the ram. The wipe member is formed from a hard resin.
