SELECTING ENTERTAINMENT LIGHTING DEVICES BASED ON DYNAMICITY OF VIDEO CONTENT

A system (1) is configured to obtain a level of dynamicity (72) of video content and select one or more lighting devices from a plurality of lighting devices (13-16) based on the level of dynamicity. A first, higher quantity (81) of lighting devices is selected when the level of dynamicity exceeds a threshold and a second, lower quantity (82) of lighting devices is selected when the level of dynamicity does not exceed the threshold. The system is further configured to determine light effects for the one or more lighting devices based on the video content and control the one or more lighting devices to render the light effects while a display device (23) displays the video content.
