Zusammenfassung:	A switch assembly (22) for a vehicle includes a first switch (40) and a second switch (46) that is adjacent the first switch. The first and second switches are actuatable independently of actuation of the other one of the switches. A switch actuator (24) presents a surface in an interior of the vehicle for a user to press/contact to selectively actuate the first and second switches. A processor (50) is configured to initiate a communication function, e.g. an emergency call, based on determining when the first (40) and second (46) switches have been actuated in a predefined manner, i.e. that the first and second switches have been actuated simultaneously or individually actuated within a predefined time.
