PIPE CONNECTION AND CONNECTING ELEMENT FOR ESTABLISHING A PIPE CONNECTION

The present invention relates to a pipe connection (1) between a pipe end (9) of a plastic pipe, a plastic composite pipe or a metal/plastic composite pipe and a connecting element (2), comprising a connecting element (2), which comprises at least one supporting body (8) provided with a plurality of encircling outer ribs (7, 7a, 7b, 7c), and onto which the pipe end (9) can be pushed, and also comprises a pipe-stop surface (18), which closes off the supporting body (8) in the axial direction, or is connected to a stop element (6), which comprises a pipe-stop surface (18); also comprising a plastic pipe, a plastic composite pipe or a metal/plastic composite pipe, into one pipe end (9) of which the supporting body (8) of the connecting element (2) is inserted; and further comprising at least one fixing sleeve (3), which fixes a portion of the pipe end (9) against the supporting body (8) in order for the pipe end (9) of the connecting element (2) to be fixed on supporting body (8), wherein the pipe connection (1) is distinguished according to the invention in that the connecting element (2) or the stop element (6) has at least one protruding region (19) which is spaced apart from the supporting body (8), projects axially beyond the pipe-stop surface (18) in the direction of the open end (10) of the supporting body (8) and delimits the position of the fixing sleeve (3), or of a constituent part of the fixing sleeve (3), in the axial direction. Furthermore, the present invention also relates to a connecting element (2) for establishing a pipe connection (1) between a pipe end (9) of a plastic pipe, a plastic composite pipe or a metal/plastic composite pipe and a connecting element (2), comprising: at least one supporting body (8) provided with a plurality of encircling outer ribs (7, 7a, 7b, 7c), and onto which a pipe end (9) can be pushed; and optionally comprising a stop element (6), which has been prefabricated with the connecting element (2); wherein a pipe-stop surface (18) is arranged on the connecting element (2), the pipe-stop surface (18) closing off the supporting body (8) in the axial direction, or on the stop element (6); wherein the connecting element (2) is distinguished according to the invention in that the connecting element (2) or the stop element (6) has at least one protruding region (19) which is spaced apart from the supporting body (8), projects axially beyond the pipe-stop surface (18) in the direction of the open end (10) of the supporti
