The handle is characterized in that the safety switch includes a switching region and a front region, wherein the front region is configured to interact with a mating contour of the operating switch such that unintentional switching on of the power tool is prevented. A power tool having a proposed handle is also provided. An improved locking possibility for an operating switch of a power tool can advantageously be provided.
