Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method for reducing the metal, oxygen and carbon content, in a single melting and solidification cycle, of the micron-sized particles of silicon in the solid mixture resulting from the cutting of silicon bricks into wafers (also referred to as kerf), said method involving a device for filtering slag consisting of SiO2 and SiC. After filtration of these solid residues, the liquid phase undergoes a step of segregating the metallic impurities of the silicon by directional solidification. The filtration system has the advantage that it can be adapted in particular to a standard industrial DSS (Directional Solidification System) furnace as used in the photovoltaic industry. |
