Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The invention refers to a shape retaining, physiologically acceptable and biologically degradable hygienic tampon (1), which is suitable for insertion into a body cavity of each user. The absorbent fibrous core of the tampon (1) is formed by subjecting a blank (2) to radial compression in order to form longitudinal grooves (11, 12) and ribs (13) which are located between said grooves (11, 12) on the surface of the tampon (1), wherein said tampon (1) consists exclusively of natural and biologically decomposable plant fibers. Tampon (1) consists of said radially in several directions compressed blank (2), which consists of multiple fibrous band layers (21, 22, 23), which are wound around a geometric axis (200) and into which, prior to said radial compression of the blank (2), a plurality of grooves (201, 202, 203) is impressed in the circumferential direction thereof, which are each per se in in profile shaped in form of letter V or U and extend circumferentially and are suitably spaced apart from each other in the transversal direction of the fibrous band, namely in the longitudinal direction of the blank (2) and along said geometric axis (200), wherein said grooves (201, 202, 203) are impressed in said fibrous band layers (21, 22, 23) at least to such extent, that the fibers of each upper fibrous band layer (21) are impressed towards the fibers of each layer (22) located underneath said upper layer (21) and interwoven therewith. Thanks to such a design, shape retention of the tampon (1) is ensured not only in its dry state prior to use, but also in its wet state during use, wherein also undesired peeling of the layers of the tampon (1) or even retaining of parts of the tampon (1) within a body cavity by removal of the tampon (1) after the use is completely avoided.
