Zusammenfassung:	An electric motor of a motor vehicle, in particular an auxiliary unit, with a stator having a stator winding as well as with a rotor as well as with a switching unit and with a contact adapter for an electric motor connection. The stator and the rotor are arranged concentrically to a motor axis in a motor housing, which is closed with a bearing plate arranged perpendicular to the motor axis. The switching unit is placed on the stator and electrically contacted by the stator winding, and the contact adapter is connected to the switching unit and in electrical contact with it. A plug connection of the contact adapter is arranged in an opening of the bearing plate. A method for the mounting of an electric motor as well as an auxiliary unit of a motor vehicle are also provided.
