SLURRY WALL CUTTER AND METHOD FOR CREATING A CUT IN THE GROUND

The invention relates to a diaphragm wall cutter comprising a box-shaped housing onto the upper side of which a lifting device can be mounted, at least one cutting wheel which is disposed on a lower side of the housing and can be driven in rotation to remove soil material, the outer circumference of the cutting wheel having cutting teeth disposed along it in at least one circumferential row to which at least one axial clearance is adjacent, and at least one clearing plate which is disposed fixed relative to the housing and engages in the at least one circumferential clearance on the cutting wheel to clear away soil material. According to the invention, the at least one clearing plate is mounted on a plate holder spaced apart from the housing, wherein a passage is formed between the at least one clearing plate and the housing through which soil material that has been cut out during operation can be guided upwards.
