The method comprises additively establishing a non-continuous support (12) for supporting the thin-walled structure (11) on a build plate (1), wherein non-continuous melt pools are generated in the powder bed, and additively establishing the thin-walled structure (11) on the support (12). Moreover, a component manufactured according to said method is described.
