Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to an absorbent article comprising an absorption body for taking up liquid, a sensor element, a power supply element and a first transmitter/receiver element. The sensor element can detect the liquid taken up in the absorption body. The power supply element can convert electromagnetic radiation from the environment into electrical energy. The transmitter/receiver element serves for contactless data transmission, such that the liquid taken up in the absorption body can be remotely monitored wirelessly. The present invention further relates to a receiver unit, and to a system for remote monitoring of the liquid taken up in an absorption body.
