Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a mounting adapter (1) for mounting a battery module (40) to a vehicle underbody (31). In order to allow for an easy integration of a battery module into various vehicle platforms, the invention provides that the mounting adapter (1) comprises a frame (2) adapted to be mounted to the vehicle underbody (31) and being adapted for mounting the battery module (40) to the frame (2) in a mounting space (25) on an underside (2.2) of the frame (2), wherein at least one energy-absorbing element (10) of the mounting adapter (1) is disposed on either side of the mounting space (25) with respect to a transverse Y-axis.
