An information processing system for ensuring safety of a site where a heavy machine is introduced, the information processing system includes one or more sensor units that are mounted on an apparatus arranged at the site to detect a situation at the site, a recognition unit that recognizes the situation at the site based on sensor data acquired by the one or more sensor units, and an apparatus management unit that manages the apparatus based on a result of recognition by the recognition unit.
