The present document relates to an electronic device, a method for operation, in an electronic device, for location tracking mitigation, and a non-transitory storage medium. According to an embodiment, the electronic device comprises a communication module, a memory, and at least one processor electrically connected to the communication module and the memory. The at least one processor may be configured to: identify a type of at least one application being executed; randomly select, on the basis of the identified type, at least one information element to be included in a frame for wireless communication for the executed at least one application; generate at least one frame including the selected at least one information element; and control the communication module to transmit the generated at least one frame via the wireless communication.
