In the method, an electronic device may obtain command information of an application on another electronic device, and generate a control application based on the command information. In this way, a user can start the control application to enable the another electronic device to implement an action of the application. According to this method, the electronic device may implement a cross-device application control function through generating the control application, to implement multi-device collaboration and improve user experience.
