TRANSFER APPARATUS FOR THE TOBACCO-PROCESSING INDUSTRY

The invention relates to a transfer apparatus for the tobacco-processing industry for transferring rod-shaped articles (22) for the tobacco-processing industry from a rod-making machine, in which the rod-shaped articles for the tobacco-processing industry are conveyed in a direction corresponding to a longitudinal axis of the articles, to a combining machine in which the rod-shaped articles are conveyed transversely to the longitudinal axis thereof. The transfer apparatus has a conveying element (17) by means of which a rod-shaped article is tangentially oriented in the peripheral direction of the conveying element in a receiving recess in a receiving position in which the rod-shaped article can be received, a cutting device (18) also being provided, the conveying element acting as a counter-bearing to said cutting device, a rotary conveyor device (19) being provided downstream of the conveying element and being designed to remove rod-shaped articles, which are conveyed longitudinally axially by the conveying element, longitudinally axially into receptacles (29) and to rotate said receptacles during a rotation of the rotary conveyor device.
