Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a locking device (5) for a handle assembly (3) of a handgun (1). The locking device (5) comprises: - a locking slide (13), the locking slide (13) having a retaining lug (18) which is designed to interact in a retaining position (14) with a carriage assembly (2) of the handgun (1), wherein a first guide part (31) is formed on the locking slide (13), the first guide part (31) being designed to be received in a first receiving slot (22) in a handle (4) of the handle assembly (3), and wherein a second guide part (32) is formed on the locking slide (13), the second guide part (32) being designed to be received in a second receiving slot (24) in the handle (4) of the handle assembly (3). The locking device (5) also comprises a locking lever (8), the locking lever (8) being able to be received on the handle (4) of the handle assembly (3) so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis (13), and the locking slide (13) being able to be coupled to the locking lever (8) in such a manner that the locking lever (8) serves for actuating the locking slide (13).
