Zusammenfassung:	A linear motion device (10) comprises: a bearing (14) mounted to the outer periphery of a ball screw (12); a nut holder (30) through which the ball screw (12) passes; and a bearing pressing member (22) which is fixed to a motor housing (16) with the ball screw (12) inserted in a through hole (36) and which restricts the movement of the bearing (14) in the motor housing (16) in the axial direction. The bearing pressing member (22) has a cutout portion (40) extending from the inner peripheral surface of the through hole (36) over to the outer peripheral surface of the bearing pressing member (22) in the radial direction.
