Zusammenfassung:	The present disclosure relates to a method of a controller device (100) of remotely analysing performance of a ballast water treatment system (BWTS, 1) of a marine vessel and a controller device (100) performing the method.In a first aspect, a method of a controller device (100) of remotely analysing performance of a BWTS (1) of a marine vessel is provided. The method comprises acquiring (S101) data from the BWTS (1) associated with the treatment of the ballast water, determining (S102), based on the acquired data, a recommended BWTS maintenance action to be performed and alerting (S103) an operator of the BWTS (1) of the recommended BWTS maintenance action to be performed.
