MOBILE REALITY CAPTURE DEVICE USING MOTION STATE DETECTION FOR PROVIDING FEEDBACK ON GENERATION OF 3D MEASUREMENT DATA

The invention relates to a system for providing 3D surveying of an environment (31) by a mobile reality capture device (1) configured to be carried and moved during generation of 3D measurement data. A motion state tracker (19) is used to determine a motion pattern (21) of the mobile reality capture device (1), wherein, if a determined motion pattern (21) corresponds to a defined movement of the mobile reality capture device (1), the system is configured to automatically perform a derivation of an expected motion pattern (26) of the mobile reality capture device (1). The movement category (23) is associated to an environment-specific measurement movement of the mobile reality capture device (1), based on which an expected (best practice) motion pattern (26) of the mobile reality capture device (1) is associated to the current movement category (23). By carrying out a comparison of the determined motion pattern (21) and the expected motion pattern (26), feedback (27) regarding the comparison of the determined motion pattern (21) and the expected motion pattern (26) is provided.
