Zusammenfassung:	An impedance measurement system is described. The system comprises: an impedance monitor (230) that is configured to sense an impedance of peritoneal dialysis ("PD") fluid residing within a fluid line (50, 55, 56) and a control unit (22) that is electrically coupled to the impedance monitor. The impedance monitor includes a first conductive lead (248a) disposed within a first port (242) along the fluid line, and a second conductive lead (248b) disposed within a second port (246) along the fluid line. The control unit (22) is configured to use the sensed impedance from the impedance monitor to detect white blood cells to form a patient peritonitis determination, and to communicate the peritonitis determination.
