METHOD FOR SELECTING CONTENT AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE THEREFOR

The invention provides an electronic device and a method. The device is configured to display, on a display, a plurality of contents; set a selection region based on a first point of a touch input for setting the selection region and a second point moved by a drag input on the display; identify a first contents among the plurality of contents based on the selection region; identify a reference condition based on an attribute of the first contents; determine whether the attribute of the first contents corresponding to the selection region satisfies the reference condition; in response to determining that the attribute of the first contents corresponding to the selection region satisfies the reference condition, extend the selection region by performing an automatic scroll to include a second contents at a position corresponding to the second point, wherein the second contents is subsequent to the first contents.
