Zusammenfassung:	A photovoltaic device for a drivable wheel of a bicycle has: * - a string having a plurality of photovoltaic cells (8) which are electrically connected in series, the string being able to be mechanically coupled to the drivable wheel, wherein * - a first photovoltaic cell (8a) of the photovoltaic cells (8) of the string has a first outer shape (101) and a second photovoltaic cell (8b) of the photovoltaic cells (8) has a second outer shape (102), the first outer shape (101) and the second outer shape (102) differing from each other and a first photoactive area (103) of the first photovoltaic cell (8a) being equal in size to a second photoactive area (104) of the second photovoltaic cell (8b), and/or - a charge controller (7) is electrically coupled to the string on the input side, the charge controller (7) being configured to transform a first electrical voltage of the photovoltaic cells (8) to a second electrical voltage, the second voltage serving to charge an energy storage device and/or the charge controller (7) being configured to operate the photovoltaic cells (8) in the MPP.
