Zusammenfassung:	A method of delivering a substance to an animal includes using a controller to topically deliver an initial dosage amount of a substance to a skin of an animal, followed by one or more subsequent dosages of the substance to the skin of the animal. The initial dosage amount comprises a plurality of sub-initial doses delivered at discrete time intervals separated from one another by time gaps with no dosage delivered during the gaps and a total amount of the sub-initial doses equals the initial dosage amount.
