Zusammenfassung:	A scenting device is provided for scenting an interior of a vehicle. The scenting device comprises a housing and a scent container arranged in the housing. In addition, the scenting device comprises a holding device for attaching the scenting device to a ventilation in the interior of the vehicle. The holding device has a holding element with an opening and the opening is designed in the form of a through hole or a blind hole. Protrusions are arranged on the edge or on the walls of the opening, wherein the protrusions extend along the depth to different extents into the interior of the opening.
