Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to the field of sintering in ferrous metallurgy. The aim of the present invention is to make optimal operation of a sintering plant possible by allowing maximum air passage through the sintering material mixture. The aim is achieved using a method, a signal-processing device, and a machine-readable code for adjusting the permeability. Using a data-based online model for the permeability, a setpoint value is determined for the moisture content of the sintering material mixture at which the sintering material mixture is at its most permeable. The data-based online model has data of at least one moisture content and of the permeability of the sintering material mixture as input variables for a continuous updating process. The determined moisture content is transmitted to a moisture supply controller as a setpoint value.
