Zusammenfassung:	The present disclosure relates to a safety mechanism (27) for a medicament delivery device (1) for mechanical shock absorption, which safety mechanism (27) comprises a medicament delivery member sleeve (7), a housing (3) having a proximal opening (3a) arranged to receive the medicament delivery member sleeve (7), wherein the medicament delivery member sleeve (7) is axially displaceable inside the housing (3), between an extended position in which a proximal end portion of the medicament delivery member sleeve (7) extends proximally from the housing (3) and a retracted position in which the proximal end portion (7c) is received by the housing (3), wherein the proximal end portion (7c) has a resilient structure, enabling compression of the proximal end portion (7c) in the distal direction upon impact of an axial force greater than a threshold value.
