Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a passenger and freight transportation method and a related transportation network. A method (1) for transporting passengers (16) and goods (14), the method comprising:-a freight step in which a railway vehicle (2) comprising a plurality of carriages (10) is in a freight configuration (15) in which at least one carriage (10) of the plurality of carriages comprises a transportation zone (12) dedicated to the goods (14) during the freight step, and transporting the goods (14) deployed within the transport zone (12) from the first location (4) to a second location (6) remote from the first location (4); and a passenger transport step in which the railway vehicle (2) is in a passenger transport configuration (17) in which the railway vehicle (2) transports the passengers (16) exclusively.
