METHOD FOR PRODUCING A TANDEM PHOTOVOLTAIC CELL

A method for manufacturing a laminated photovoltaic cell (100), wherein a first sub-cell is manufactured by:-manufacturing a first oxide layer (108) on a first surface (104) of a semiconductor substrate (102); -producing a p-doped polycrystalline semiconductor layer (112) on the first oxide layer; annealing in an oxidizing atmosphere to form a second oxide layer on the polycrystalline layer; -fabricating an n-doped first doped layer on the second oxide layer to diffuse dopant through the second oxide layer to a first portion (124) of the polycrystalline layer; removing the first doped layer and the second oxide layer; the method then includes fabricating a second sub-cell on the first portion of the polycrystalline layer.
