The elongate delivery device is coupled to an endovascular prosthesis via a connection portion. The connection portion is configured to be detachable from the endovascular prosthesis or the delivery device upon application an electric current to the delivery device. The endovascular prosthesis in an unsheathed state and the elongate delivery device being rotatable with respect to one another about the delivery device longitudinal axis.
