METHOD, PLATFORM AND SYSTEM FOR EXTENDING WIRELESS SIGNAL COVERAGE OF A WIRELESS NETWORK

A method, a platform and a system for extending wireless signal coverage of a wireless network are provided. The method is performed by a platform (200) located in a first wireless signal coverage area (101) provided by an access point (100) of the wireless network, and is configured to provide a second wireless signal coverage area (201). The method comprising: tracking a position of a wireless device (300); predicating a movement of the wireless device (300) based on the tracking result; upon predicting that the wireless device (300) is to be moved out of the first wireless signal coverage area (101) and the second wireless signal coverage area (201), instructing a drone (500) with a wireless signal extender to move to a target geographical position based on the current position of the wireless device (300) to provide a first extended wireless signal coverage area.
