Zusammenfassung:	The present disclosure relates to an artificial candle for simulating a flammable wick candle, and specifically relates to an artificial candle comprising an elongated light distributor for distributing light. One embodiment relates to an artificial candle comprising a housing for simulating the candle, a translucent cover for simulating a candle flame arranged at or above an upper part of the housing at least one light source, an elongated light distributor for distributing light from the at least one light source, and an electrical power supply for powering the light source(s), wherein the artificial candle is configured such that the elongated light distributor and the light source are arranged in extension of each other inside an elongated cavity of the translucent cover, such that light from the light source is received by the elongated light distributor, transmitted longitudinally through the elongated light distributor and scattered radially from the elongated light distributor, such that the translucent cover is illuminated by the light source and the elongated light distributor.
