SYSTEM FOR READING OUT AND TRANSFERRING DATA OF A CONSUMPTION METER, METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH A SYSTEM, READING-OUT APPARATUS, CONSUMPTION METER AND DATA FORWARDING APPARATUS

To provide a system for reading out and transferring data of a consumption meter that, in compliance with legal provisions, enables both the input of light pulses to activate the output of meter data of the consumption meter and the transfer of the output meter data to a terminal device remotely, more particularly also over large distances, a system (100) is proposed for reading out and transferring data of a consumption meter (10) having a reading-out apparatus (12) that can be arranged on the consumption meter (10) for reading out the meter data of the consumption meter (10), the reading-out apparatus (12) comprising: - a meter data interface unit (13) for receiving data of the consumption meter (10), - a transmitting unit (14) for transmitting the received data of the consumption meter (10), the system (100) further having a data forwarding apparatus (16), the data forwarding apparatus (16) comprising: - a receiving module (17) for receiving data from the transmitting unit (14) of the reading-out apparatus (12) of the consumption meter (10), and - a transmitting module (18) for transmitting the received data of the consumption meter (10) to a terminal device (19).
