Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a portable operating element (9) for an operating device (7) for a cooking appliance (1), which is designed for non-destructive application and removal to and from an operating element holder (8) of the operating device (7), and can be actuated in the applied state in order to adjust the operating conditions of the cooking appliance (1), wherein the operating element (9) comprises a housing (17) and a ring magnet (18), which is arranged in the housing (17), and the operating element (9) has a magnetic field influencer (29) that is separate from the ring magnet (28), which is arranged in the housing (17), wherein the magnetic field influencer (29) has a ring (30) arranged above the ring magnet (28) and overlapping the ring magnet (28) in the radial direction of the operating element (9), wherein the magnetic field influencer (29) also has at least one lug (31) which is arranged on an inner edge (30a) of the ring (30) and oriented axially downwards, such that it overlaps the ring magnet (28) in the direction of a longitudinal axis (A) of the operating element (9). The invention also relates to an operating device (7).
