PRESSURE MEASURING DEVICE, METHOD FOR MONITORING A MEDICAL CONDITION AND COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED EVALUATION PROGRAM

The present invention relates to a pressure measuring device (100; 200) for monitoring a medical condition of a user related to arthritis and/or arthrosis. The pressure measuring device (100; 200) comprises an elastic body (102; 202) defining a lumen (104; 204) filled with a compressible fluid. The lumen (104; 204) is configured to be compressed by at least one body part of a user. The pressure measuring device (100; 200) further comprises a pressure detection device (112; 212) arranged at least partially within the lumen (104; 204), the pressure detection device (112; 212) being configured to detect at least one absolute pressure in the lumen (104; 204), generate a pressure signal based on the detected absolute pressure, and provide the pressure signal to an evaluating device (114) for evaluating the pressure signal. The pressure measuring device (100; 200) further comprises an energy source arranged within the elastic body (102; 202).
