Zusammenfassung:It is proposed to use a Peltier element (P) as a high-performance radiation sensor for electromagnetic radiation at wavelengths of up to 20 µm with radiation power outputs greater than 100 watts, wherein an electrical voltage is measured at the Peltier element (P) according to the radiation-induced heat flow in the transverse direction (Q) of the Peltier element (P), wherein the Peltier element (P) has a thermally active layer made up of alternately arranged first thermopiles (1) comprising a first material (A) and second thermopiles (2) comprising a second material (B), and the thermopiles (1, 2) are formed without semiconductors.
