Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method for determining a region (9) in which a sensor cannot be installed, in particular a photo or video camera, on a windscreen (8) of a utility vehicle (1) in order to avoid obstructing the view of the vehicle driver with the sensor, said method comprising the following method steps: I measuring the distance (HS) between a seat surface (6) of a vehicle driver's seat (5) and a surface of the ground (4) on which the wheels (11) of the utility vehicle (1) are standing; II measuring a distance (WS) between a backrest (6) of a vehicle driver's seat (5) and the inner surface of the windscreen (8) at a predetermined height (HP) above the seat surface (6) of the vehicle driver's seat (5) parallel to the surface of the ground (4); and III determining coordinates (HL, VL) of a corner point (P) of a rectangular no-installation region (9) on the windscreen (8) based on the distance values measured in steps I and II via a calculation algorithm, wherein HL corresponds with the distance of the corner point (P) from a notional centre line (MS) of the vehicle driver's seat (5) in the direction of a passenger-side edge (13) of the windscreen (8) and VL corresponds with the distance of the corner point (P) from the surface of the ground (4), wherein the no-installation region (9) of the windscreen (8) extends vertically from the corner point (P) to the upper edge (14) and horizontally to the driver-side edge (12) of the windscreen (8).
