Zusammenfassung:It is described a component carrier (100) comprising:i) a stack (110) comprising at least one electrically conductive layer structure (104) and/or at least one electrically insulating layer structure (102); andii) a magnetic element (150) assembled to the stack (110), wherein the magnetic element (150) comprises:iia) a magnetic matrix (155); andiib) an inductive element (120), wherein the inductive element (120) is at least partially enclosed by the magnetic matrix (155), so that an electric current flow direction (E) through the inductive element (120) is essentially in a horizontal direction (x, y) with respect to the stack (110).Further, a magnetic inlay (150) and a manufacturing method are described.
